    In January, 2012, having considered the application by OAO Irkutskenergo to allocate a land plot for construction of Lenskaya CHPP and upon public consultations, Ust-Kut municipality approved of OAO Irkutskenergo’s land plot selection act and preliminarily agreed on the construction location. The land plot is situated in Ust-Kut between the districts of Rechniki and Birusinka. The area of the plot is 260,000 sq.m.

    In 2011, power plants of OAO EuroSibEnergo generated 80.4 bln kWh of power, which is 7.6% lower year on year. Generation of the company’s hydro power plants – Krasnoyarskaya, Bratskaya, Ust-Ilimskaya and Irkutskaya – amounted to over 65 bln kWh (-9.3% year on year). The main reasons of power and heat generation reduction are unfavourable water conditions at HPPs and high air temperatures in winter. Heat production by EuroSibEnergo’s plants was 27.2 mln Gcal, which is 9.0% lower year on year. Grid distribution of power reduced by 1.9% year on year to 45.4 bln kWh. Coal recovery by the company grew by 8.5% year on year to reach 15.8 mln tonnes.

  • 17.06.2011 EuroSibEnergo and China Yangtze Power Co. Select Top Priority Power Projects for Joint Investment

    EuroSibEnergo, the largest independent power producer in Russia, and China Yangtze Power Co. (“CYPC”), the largest Chinese listed hydroelectricity producer, signed a Framework Agreement that provides for joint investment of a list of power plant construction projects in Eastern Siberia. The Agreement was inked by Andrey Likhachev, the Chairman of EuroSibEnergo, and Yong Bai, Chief Financial Officer of CYPC during the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.

    EuroSibEnergo PLC (“EuroSibEnergo”), the largest Russian independent power company and one of the largest hydro-electric companies in the world, and China Yangtze International (Hong Kong Co., Limited) (“China Yangtze International”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Yangtze Power Co. Ltd. (“China Yangtze Power”), the largest listed hydropower producer in China and one of the top hydropower producers in the world, have today announced the formal establishment of a joint venture (“JV”) to develop hydro and thermal power projects in the Siberian part of Russia.

    Irkutsk, 8th September 2010 - EuroSibEnergo, the largest Russian independent power company, and Just Group, a leading Mongolian diversified holding company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation for the development of the Mongolian power industry. The MoU was signed by Alexander Sergeev, Director of EuroSibEnergo PLC and Managing Director of Power Business of En+ Group, and Sharavlamdam Bathu, the CEO of Just Group.

    Irkutsk, 8th September 2010 – EuroSibEnergo, the largest independent Russian power company, TBEA, a leading Chinese electrical equipment manufacturer, and Radian Group (TBEA’s dealer in Russia) have today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation. The MoU, signed by Evgeny Fedorov, CEO of EuroSibEnergo, Ye Jun, CEO of TBEA, and Varely Trufanov, CEO of Radian Group, establishes the framework and outlines the priorities for a strategic cooperation that will focus on the development of the electricity industry in Siberia.
