ОJSC «Irkutskenergo»
The Irkutsk power system is one of the largest in Russia. Three hydroelectric power plants – the Irkutsk HPP, the Bratsk HPP and the Ust-Ilimsk HPP - account for about 70% of OJSC Irkutskenergo’ s capacity; the remaining capacity falls on 13 CHPPs. This highly effective fuel and energy base ensures stable and effective performance of energy-intensive industries. The key regional industries – non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical and petrochemical industries, timber processing complex, railways – consume over 75% of total electricity being consumed in the region. The Irkutsk power system produces surplus electricity. Its installed capacity is sufficient to provide the In terms of capacity and production volumes, the power system is capable of producing over 70 bln kWh of electricity and up to 46 mln Gcal of heat. Installed electric power capacity of the Irkutsk power system is 12.9 ths MW, including 9,002 МW of HPPs capacity and 3,879 МW of CHPPs capacity. Installed heat generation capacity is 14,173 Gcal/hour.
End-user electricity supply: In 2006 – 48, 249 mln kWh In 2007 – 64, 424 mln kWh
End-user heat supply: In 2006 – 24, 710 ths Gcal. In 2007 – 22, 507 ths Gcal. |
